Lee Hildreth's trial for Port Vale Reserves was cut short this afternoon.
Against cross town rivals Stoke City at Newcastle Town FC, Port Vale who lost 4-2 at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, were drawing 0-0 when a currently in-named Port Vale player's injury early in the second half was so bad that the match had to be abandoned.
After consultaton with the league, it was agreed that the result would stand and the game would not be replayed.
The draw for Vale moves them on the same points as Coventry City reserves who have a better goal difference of seven goals.
The Sky Blues have completed their programme but Port Vale have one game left and play West Brom on Monday afternoon.
