Coventry City U18's went down to a late defeat against Leicester City on a sunny morning at the Alan Higgs Centre.
The opening exchanges were pretty even with Trevor Peake's side winning a couple of corners.
In the 22nd minute, Leucester took the lead when Matt Miles was allowed space twenty yards out and drove left footed into the bottom corner of the net.
The likes of Lewis Rankin and Ivor Lawton worked hard in midfield and they helped to set up Courtney Baker-Richardson to flash wide with a 28th minute long range effort.
In the 41st minute, Eddy Samba sent over a free kick, harshly awarded against Ryan Haynes.
With City Development Officer Steve Waggott in attendance, Courtney Baker-Richard was denied a 51st minute goal when his shot hit the substitute keeper and cannoned off a defender for a corner
Then City were awarded a penalty when Baker-Richardson was fouled and Lewis Garner stepped up to draw City level.
With Leicester down to ten men due to an injury to former Sphinx youngster Luke Downes, Ben Maund fired wide wiuth only the keeoer to beat.
Four minutes from time, Leicester snatched a win when Ben Chilwell fired home from six yards to give Leicester the win.
