Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is prepared to let George Thomas go out on loan.
The striker has been in good form for City U21's but has struggled for first team opportunities and Tony Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner that he would let Thomas out on loan if the right club came along.
Mowbray said: “We’ve talked to him about that and spoken to his advisors.
“The phone has actually rung twice in the last few days from a couple of clubs enquiring about taking him on loan.
“I think we have a duty of care to make sure we provide the correct career path for George. We all, as staff and fans, can see what he has got, the talent he possesses at such a young age and I think his pathway is slightly blocked at the moment.
“He probably sits on the bench every week and he has been on the pitch a few times this year but we have talked about putting him on loan to the right club.
"And I think between him, myself and his advisors we’ll try – if the right option comes along – to let him out for a month at a time because I don’t see him as a long term loan who goes away to develop for a year."
