Coventry City Academy Boss Gregor Rioch was delighted with City's 2-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday and is looking forward to the local derby at Leicester City, who have won the Academy Group B table for the last three years.
“We can’t wait for the game,” said Rioch to the CT. “The boys put in another really good performance which gave us back-to-back victories after beating Cardiff the week before and enabled us to gain a good position at top of the league which we haven’t been able to say that often in recent years.
“What has happened in the past is that we have lost a few players to the first team and used younger boys in the Under-18s.
“But now we are in the position where we are progressing players through the club and getting good performances and results, so it has been really enjoyable in that sense.”
