Speaking to the club website, the City U18's manager said: "I was a bit disappointed with our performance in the first half but all credit to MK Dons because they played some lovely stuff.
"We were more ourselves and for as much as we could not stamp our authority on the first half, after the break we did the exact opposite so it really was a game of two halves.
"The lads showed in the second half that they have been listening and concentrating on the training ground because a lot of what we had been doing in the week was starting to come to fruition.
"It was a really exciting entertaining game and I'm delighted to come away with the win."
