Coventry City U18's won their second pre-season game with a 2-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town this lunchtime.
City were forced to field a very young team with only two U18's players in strikers Billy Daniels and Jonson Harris-Clarke in the team, due to the first team game at Kettering which saw Andy Thorn call upon Jordan Willis and Courtney Richards along with the likes of Josh Ruffles, Aron Phillips, Gael Bigiriman and Conor Thomas whilst Will Roberts was away on international duty with Wales.
It was City's two strikers who found the net to give Coventry a two goal lead before the Shrews pulled one back through a last minute own goal.
City now travel to Afan Lido on Tuesday night before facing Burton Albion at home on Saturday.
