Coventry City have confirmed that the U21 side will continue this season.
The Sky Blues, who are expected to have Ian Foster and Greg Rioch in charge following the departure of last season's coach Lee Carsley to Sheffield United, start in Sheffield with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Monday August 19th.
In response to those who have asked us, we can say that City, have yet to publically announce via the club website, exactly where home games will be played and we expect that the rule that each competing team must play two matches on the first team's 'home' ground will again continue
City's U21's first home game is against Crewe on Friday August 23rd with kick off at 7pm.
September sees a trip to Derby County on September 18th with October bringing a 'home' game against Huddersfield Town on Friday October 4th at 2pm and a trip to Sheffield United on Monday October 28th.
On Monday November 4th, City take on Birmingham City at 'home' and also in November, is a trip to Nottingham Forest on Friday November 29th.
Friday December 13th sees a 'home' game against Leeds United with a 7pm kick off and it is then a month before the Sky Blues travel to Barnsley on Monday January 13th and Wednesday January 22nd sees a 'home' game against Derby County.
February starts with an away game at Huddersfield Town on February 3rd, followed by an away game game at Crewe a fortnight later before the month is rounded out with an evening home game against Sheffield Wednesday on February 21st.
In March, there is only one scheduled game and that is a trip to Leeds United on March 24th and the season ends with a 'home' game against Sheffield United on Wednesday April 2nd and a trip to Birmingham City for a 1pm kick off on Monday April 7th.
