Coventry City U18’S Boss Greg Rioch has said that the U18’s 2-1 defeat to Reading on Saturday was a disappointment.
Speaking after City’s defeat to second placed Reading which has cut City’s lead at the top to two points with Reading having a game in hand, Rioch said to Sky Blue Player: "It was a disappointing result but generally I was pleased with the way we performed. We didn't get out of the traps against Blackburn but we gave it a really good go at the weekend.
"It was important our performance picked up after the Cup loss and I think it will serve them well in the future. On the balance of play, we had the better of it but didn't get what we deserved.
"The message we gave to the lads after the game is that you don't get everything you deserve in football and that you have to work for your rewards.
"We have never had anything easy at the Academy so we have to work hard with what we have and hopefully we will gain the rewards at the end of it."
