Coventry City U21's kept things tight to earn a 0-0 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.
At a blustery Nuneaton, the Sky Blues had Jordan Willis back from a knee injury in a strong side which again featured a trialist.
Willis was involved straight away crossing for Simeon Jackson to get in a header at Joe Wildsmith.
In the tenth minute, Johnny Fusco fired wide after a poor ball from the trialist, playing along side Ivor Lawton who won City a corner five minutes later.
Turgott's flag kick was headed wide by Jackson and Wednesday built an attack which was stopped by a good grab from Reice Charles-Cook.
Willis dinked a free kick wide for a City side which was battling well and looking to create chances.
Conor Thomas sent a shot over from twenty yards before Obrien fired wide at the other end.
Jackson won a corner in the 27th minute before Turgott whipped in a shot which Wildsmith got down to save for the first of two corners.
A great clearance from the highly capable Cian Harries won a 33rd minute corner which was punched away. The Owls countered with Felipe Melo firing wide.
In the 37th minute, Blair Turgott had a great chance after good work from Jackson and George Thomas but the former West Ham youngster could only sky the ball over the away end and out of the ground.
With Tony Mowbray and Neil MacFarlane in the stand for the second half. Obrien had the first chance of the second half firing wide in the 48th minute.
Conor Thomas lifted a cross onto the roof of the net before helping City win a corner in the 52nd minute which the Trialist volleyed wide.
In the 56th minute, Wednesday won a corner but that was easily cleared by a hard working City defence.
Fusco volleyed wide two minutes later before City made a change with Jordan Willis going off.
Obrien beat Charles-Cook to win a corner and in the 67th minute, Jackson won a corner for City.
Two minutes later and Rhys McCabe curled a free kick at Charles-Cook. City cleared up field for Jackson to fire wide.
Wildsmith punched away a 72nd minute free kick and the visitors won a corner.
A stunning volley from Danny Obrien flew wide as the game ended in a draw.
