Coventry Sphinx took a vital win with a 1-0 victory against Stourport Swifts.
On a cold Easter Saturday afternoon at Sphinx Drive, this was a vital game for Robbie Banks' side in their bid to battle relegation.
Against a Stourport side which included former City youngster Ben Maund, Sphinx had their keeper Ash Mahotra push a Julien Triana shot onto the post in the 20th minute.
Sam Delaney got to a corner two minutes later and had his shot cleared off the line.
Sphinx took the lead in the 55th minute when Keiran Nesbitt was brought down by the keeper who was only booked. Jackson Downie stepped up and duly dispatched the spot kick in to the net.
Mitch Thomson had a great chance when through in the 57th minute but had his shot blocked by the keeper.
Thomson had an effort in the 71st minute cleared off the line and fired wide six minutes later.
Stourport had a header hit the bar as they won three corners in quick succession but Sphinx held on to win.
