Coventry Sphinx got their Midland Alliance League season off to a great start with a 4-1 win at Heath Hayes this afternoon.
Sphinx had four good chances before Ashley Jackson put the Coventry side ahead in 23rd minute.
Waple levelled five minutes later but ten minutes into the second half, Sphinx who are at home to Kirby Muxloe on Monday night, went back in front thanks to a goal from Luke Williams.
Sphinx missed a penalty on the hour mark but substitute Tom Muldoon hit the third with his first touch in the 79th minute.
Then in stoppage time, Muldoon hit a fourth to get Sphinx off to a great start.
