Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins has said that he was happy with the 0-0 draw at Shepshed Dynamo on Tuesday night.
Hopkins told the Sphinx website: "I think its safe to say that we rode our luck at times, but a point away from home is something I'll take.
"Shepshed have a new gaffer and they are a much improved side and with the pretty much wholesale changes there, i think they will be top six if they keep that squad.
"The Dovecote Stadium is not an easy place to go and we had a game plan.
"We didn’t always stick to it and gave the ball away cheaply and our decision making was poor at times against a side which perhaps deserves some credit with the tempo and the intensity they applied. At times, we did what was necessary so that was a big plus though.
"Going forward, on the other hand, we had four decent chances in the first half and had we put one away then it’s a different story, probably it would have been called a smash and grab!!
"Park The Bus, call it what you like, overall, I am pleased with a point and looking back, it is probably, what we should of done at Long Eaton on Day 1, but at least it shows development as we grow into the season.
"Overall, they stopped us playing, it was a battle and probably not the best to watch, but it’s a results business and we earn't it I think in the second half.
"Both teams had chances and so, it was a fair result and we look forward to the return leg at our place where we can hopefully open them up on a bigger pitch."
