Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins was unhappy after his side drew 2-2 on Saturday.

Speaking to the Coventry Sphinx website, Hopkins said: "‘It wasn’t good enough and it may seem like I am being harsh on the lads but something needs to click in their heads and make them realise we have dropped some poor points and it might cost us at the end of the season.

"If we want to be competing for a top 6 place. If we don't improve over the next week or two ill be looking for wholesale changes across the board with the team, squad the lot. We continue to use the youth lads and they are hungry and want to play so no issue there, but I cant reply upon 16 youth team lads to make us compete at the top end of the league.

"We have struggled without Carl O'Neil in goal, his communication skills alone are top draw, without his actual top class keeping, but the boys who have filled in have done well, with young Jack Farthing and Eamon Fallon this Saturday but that’s no excuse, we have the firepower to outscore teams when we are struggling defensively. Its an issue that I have spent my Sunday addressing and hopefully it will be sorted going forward now, watch this space etc.

"I’m looking to add quality to the squad and will be doing this over the next week or two anyway to steer us in the right direction, but if it doesn’t happen quick enough it’ll be not just a couple of new faces but a squad full. 2 points lost along with 3 last week away at Lye Town its a repeat scenario from last season struggle to beat teams at the lower end but compete and gain points against the teams at the top end for me that's not consistent or good enough."
