The home side using Downe Sports pitch, had the early play before Robbie Stevenson hit the bar with a chip from the left hand side in the 11th minute.
Hinckley took a twelth minute lead through their number ten who raced through to score but within three minutes, a Munn ball was sprayed out to Luke Hopkins who centred for Robbie Stevenson to fire home at the far post.
Sphinx played well for the remainder of the half with Murdock being blocked by the keeper's feet and Chris Harris firing over.
Five minutes before the break, Sphinx were caught napping but Ashley Wilks was back on the line to head away the danger.
Sphinx might have been napping but they were on fire in the opening minutes of the second half when they scored twice.
In the 48th minute,Jerome Murdock got the ball on the left and hit a shot which the keeper got a hand to but could not stop it going over the line.

A minute later, a through ball from Wilks was collected by Luke Hopkins who slipped the ball as the home keeper came out of his goal.
In the 54th minute, Paul Charnley fielded his second new signing in American keeper Alan Salvatore. His first job was to pick the ball out of the net after being beaten by a low drive. it was proving not a good debut for the former FC Zuzenhausen custodian who was easily beaten by a Hinckley forward to level the match.
With seconds left of the match reduced to 85 minutes due to the floodlights not all working properly, Hinckley won the match when a substitute was allowed to tap home a cross at the far post.
Again,it was a good work out for the Sphinx who travel to Midland Combination side Brocton for a friendly on Saturday.
