Coventry Sphinx striker Jerome Murdock has joined Bedworth United.
Underfire Bedworth boss Liam O'Neill has come up with a deal which suits the Coventry born striker to beat six other clubs who had put in seven days notice of intent.
Sphinx Boss Danny McSheffrey said: "I have always said that I will stand in no players way in progressing their careers up the non league ladder.

"The fact that Bedworth are round the corner and they are prepared to be flexible with his work hours and family commitments like we were makes it an appealing move. I wish him all the best and will advise you that I did everything I could to keep him at the club.
"My relationship with Jerome is very strong and I know Jerome has not taken this decision lightly and he has passed on his sincere thanks to all the players, management, committee and supporters for everything and has said that Sphinx is now his home club in his heart and he will be back one day!!"
