Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins has said new faces will be brought in following his side's 6-0 home defeat to Shepshed Dynamo on Saturday.
Hopkins told the Sphinx website: "The day started with promise, we had a new keeper signed and starting in Neil Collett, very good keeper and I am looking forward to working with him.
"Also Big Dave Alkinuli was brought into the squad, so positive steps has been taken forward from the previous week. The game started and for the first 15 minutes, it was more of a battle than a game and we looked steady, we had some half chances and felt defensively in good shape.
"A competed ball in the middle of the park resulted in a ball going through and it was there forward who was quicker to react on to it leaving him one on one with our keeper and to be honest, I thought it was a poor touch which made him go down easy, but if the ref blows and gives a penalty it’s a red card too.
"We was previously told that the rule is for denying a goal scoring opportunity and not for being the last man now, but the red card was given for being the last man, although the centre half made it back to the line… when your lucks down its down.
"Now for 75 minutes, we had Ash Jackson in goal, who was carrying a slight injury and is normally a left back in goal and ten men.
"How the second penalty could be given was laughable. The assistant facing the play didn’t give it but the referee looking through the players and 40 yards away overruled a 15 yard away assistant!!
"2-0 half time, 10 men, 2 pens and them not in the game or having to work for their lead so I was annoyed to say the least.
"For me, the official has spolit the game. Fifteen minutes in, he had two decisions to make the whole game and he got them both wrong in my opinion.
"At the minute we have ran out of luck we are down but trust me we are not out.
"We have a massive Saturday coming can it rescue the season?
"More new faces this week I can promise, only people with commitment and the correct mind set are wanted at this club and so more faces will be going out the door, like it or not, there is a bigger picture than the 90 minutes and it’s a results business, so i'll do what I see fit to get results in the long run."
