Sphinx had tried to get the game moved to avoid clashing with Coventry City's Championship game with Middlesbrough and attract a bigger crowd from which both sides would have benefited from.
However, Stafford, who are expected to bring with them around 100 fans, have not agreed and the match will now go ahead on the originally scheduled date.
Sphinx are in FA Vase action this Sunday when they travel to Causeway United. The game has been moved to Sunday as Causeway share Stourbridge FC's ground and they have a home game on the Saturday.
