Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins has said that he is not bothered about his side playing on Bedworth United's new 3G pitch.
Sphinx become only the second team to have played on the pitch which costs £600k when they face Southern League Central Division Bedworth United at The Oval tonight in an FA Cup Preliminary Round replay.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph about the pitch, Hopkins said: “From what I understand they have only played one game on it and it’s brand new. But looking at the players of today most of them have grown up playing on these types of pitches and training at academies where they are common practice so its not new and not really an issue.
“It’s the same for both teams. We will be going to win and if we repeat the levels of performance and desire we won’t be far off.”
