Coventry Sphinx take on Southern League Nuneaton Town in a twice re-arranged Birmingham Senior Cup 1st Round tie tonight at Sphinx Drive.

Before the game which kicks off at 7.45pm, there will be a minute's silence to mark the anniversary of former manager Willie Knibbs who was killed whilst coming back from a 2-0 win at Meir KA in November 2001.

Another former defender Paul Gibbons who passed away last Monday will also be remembered.

Despite, facing a side two divisions above them, Sphinx are looking to make progress in this competition and will be boosted by their exploits in the FA Cup.

Danny McSheffrey is expected to have a strong side available whilst Nuneaton are likely to field loanee from Coventry City Adam Walker who scored at Sphinx Drive for City Reserves in a recent friendly.
