Coventry Sphinx goalkeeper Ash Malhotra has been named in the Panjab FA's provisional 23 man squad for the 2016 ConIFA World Championships in Abkhazia, Russia which will be held between 28th May – 6th June
The Panjab has a population of 125 million and is competing in the World Cup for nations, dependencies, uncategorised states, minorities, stateless peoples, regions and micro nations not affiliated with FIFA.
Also included in the squad are former Coventry City youngster Ricki Bains and GNP Coventrys Rajpal Virk.
Yesterday, the squad beat the Manchester International Football Academy 9-1 as part of their preparation which will also see a friendly against Jersey at Kiddersminster Harriers.
