Coventry Sphinx were beaten 6-3 at Coleshill Town in an MFL Premier Division fixture.
At Pack Meadow with an excellent turn out of Sphinx supporters, Robbie Banks' side on the 3G pitch were a goal down in the tenth minute when Danico Johnson got the ball inside the area and scored from close range.
In the sixteenth minute, Johnson was through again and gave Mahotra no chance with his second goal of the game.
Sphinx put an end to the one way traffic and in the 38th minute, they were on the scoreboard when Keiran Nesbitt slotted from a Ryan Quinn cross.
Five minutes into the second half after a Sphinx corner was cleared, Mahorta mis-judged a ball which hit the bar and bounced down for substitute Mykel Beckley to tap home.
Sphinx were awarded a penalty in the 54th minute when Guy Clarke who already on a booking handled. A second yellow was not shown but Jackson Downie stepped up and scored to get Sphinx back in the game.
In the 62nd minute, Sphinx were level when Nesbitt crossed from the right and Zuyb Abdirahman fired home at the far post.
However, there was only parity for two minutes when Luke Barlone was allowed space in the area to put Coleshill back in front.
Coleshill followed that up with a fifth in the 76th minute when their substitute Simeon Cobourne got through to score.
Abdirahman hit the post in the 78th minute but two minutes later and Beckley was allowed through to score goal number six for Coleshill.
