Coventry Sphinx were beaten by Brocton in a Midland Football League Premier Division fixture tonight.
At Sphinx Drive on a cold night, the visitors from Stafford had Matt Hardiman stretchered off in the 14th minute after the home side had forced two corners.
There were no goals in the first half but four minutes into the second, Paul McMahon rounded the Sphinx keeper to give Brocton a lead.
Sphinx worked well with Trey Braithwaite going close but in the 67th minute, substitute Gary Fife found space on the left and scored with a low drive.
Mark Albrighton hit the post in the 72nd minute. However, in the final minute, Paul McMahon scored with a tap in to send Sphinx to a 3-0 defeat.
