Coventry Sphinx came from two goals down to beat Redditch United 3-2 in a Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division match tonight at Sphinx Drive.
Neil Moran and Steve Shea had both Declan Callum and Matty Wong carried off in a first half which saw them concede goals in the 22nd minute and 36th minute.
The visitors also lost players to injury and were not allowed any freedom as the second half started.
In the 55th minute, Antony Bevas dived to head one back from close range. This lifted Sphinx and after Craig Goodbody had a header superbly pushed over the bar by the visiting keeper, Sphinx levelled the match.
Antony Bevas was the man who got the final touch to see the ball home after Andy Moran had drove forward.
Two minutes later, Sphinx wrapped up a victory which lifts Sphinx to seventh in the table when Paul Green finished well from ten yards.
The sides meet again next week at Redditch in a League Cup tie.
