Coventry Sphinx Youth missed out on a Midland Floodlit Youth League Final place when they were beaten in extra time at home to Stourbridge.
Nigel Starkey's side had started well, taking the lead after a minute and forty one seconds when Brad Taylor was pulled down and Danny Fraser curled home a free kick from twenty yards.
Stourbridge levelled in the 55th minute when their number eight swept in and Sphinx had enough chances to win the match.
But with 45 seconds left of extra time, the visitors were able to get in a shot from the right hand side of the area, which went into the net and booked themselves a place in the final against Stourport.
Sphinx Youth are back to League action with a home game against Alvechurch.
On Saturday, Sphinx's first team travel to Loughborough Uni.
