Coventry Sphinx had a fantastic win against a 2nd placed Lye Town who had won their last 7 league games.
Lye had a bit more of the play in the first half until Sphinx scored with a superb free kick into the top corner from skipper Ash Jackson in the 34th minute.
Sphinx then found another gear and their work rate was exceptional.
Jackson Downie, scored on the hour mark, a goal of sensational quality in the second half to double the lead.
The spirit of these players is second to none and I walked into the bar as one proud supporter today.
As for the Man of the Match it was no contest. Jackson Downie ran the show and every single person I spoke to were keen to point out that Jackson Downie was their Man of the Match. All the players were excellent but he still stood out with his quality.
The Sphinx are on the up!
