Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins felt that his side did that they had to, during Saturday's 3-0 win over Boldmere St Michaels.
Hopkins told the Sphinx website: "I thought we did what we had to.
"We scored three times and kept a clean sheet, on paper it’s a good show against a team that have been top six to ten for the past six or seven years at least.
"We created chances and there were occassions where we were putting ball in box and it just wasn’t happening, I think one shot even came off Piggs face, if its going your way it goes in and if it not its wide.
"I just didn’t want us to get frustrated and make mistakes. We've got better with each game, but today was the little step backwards you sometimes need to take to leap forward again.
"We got the goals, first one was Luke Downes, 2 in 2 for Luke and both contenders for goal of the season already. The second, there's a bit of a discussion between the lads whose it was, Myles won the header and Blythe and Ash Jackson both toed it home.
"The Assistant Ref did say it wasn’t in until the No 8 made sure, but they gave it to Myles so its down to the lads to sort that one out.
"Half time and being two up can be a horrid score. The first ten to fifteen minutes after the break it is important you don’t concede and I think we are that little bit older and wiser this season and the game management helps in situations like that but we didn’t,
"Boldmere had a good go at it for ten minutes, but I felt we still had more to come and more to step up to.
The third goal was a great bit of footwork by Richard Blythe, he's fast becoming a favourite down the club from what I'm told and if he keeps doing that I can see why.
"With the match reporter Martin Sutton on a scouting mission abroad, I think the majority gave Myles Jones the MOM, he's getting better with each game and hopefully it continues.
"Overall, it was a good performance. I just think it was a long way off the bench mark set against Lye on the Monday night but there are not to many complaints as I'll take the three points.
"We go again Tuesday away at Shepshed. That is a tough place to go and they are doing ok at the minute but it is heads down and see how many points we can finish the month on and hopefully do well in the FA Cup."
