Coventry Sphinx's Lynton Wilkinson has been giving his thoughts on Sphinx's last few weeks.
Wilkinson told the Sphinx website: "Firstly thanks for the support that you continue to give the boys at home and on the road its been superb so once again thank you.
"Performances over the season as whole have not been good but over the last 12 games two wins and a drew are just not good enough.
"I thought we had turned a corner over the past 5 games with our performance's probably not warranting the losses we had.
"Boldmere was game we should of won but failed to take our chances in the first 20 minutes where as Boldmere did in the 20 minutes before half time, again in the second half we failed to capitalise on chances created.
"The performances against Highgate and Khalsa were very good and showed that we can compete with better sides. The Khalsa score line was not a true reflection of the game as we made changes to get something out of the game.
"Quorn was not our best performance but we came back from being punched in the balls with a equaliser in 91st minute to get 3 valuable points with a 94th minute winner.
"Monday's came was a different kettle of fish a ok performance in the first half where both teams had chances but the second half we went hiding and conceded 3 very bad goals.
"I have a look at the games and I don't think that 3/4 of the goals conceded the opposition have earned them we have given them.
"We now need to roll our socks up and start playing for the shirt and personal pride. In my our league position is still in our hands but we need to earn the right to be in this league next season I believe the players we have at this club are more than good enough to do this but they need to start performing before its too late."
