The Coventry Charity Football Cup are holding their Annual cheque presentation evening to local charities this Friday evening at Christ the King Community Centre, Westhill Road, Coundon, 7.30pm.
2014 was a record breaking year for the Charity Cup, and on Friday they will be giving a donation to a record number of twenty local charities, that are spread throughout the whole of the Coventry & Warwickshire Area. The total amount to be donated will be revealed on the night, but it is a record equalling figure, 30% greater than the amount donated last year.
Richard Aston, Chairman of the Charity Cup says “the Coventry Charity Football Cup continues to grow every year, and it is wonderful that we are able to help so many local charities, even in a small way. Our success is down to an excellent committee, many keen loyal supporters, and a wonderful sponsor in the Premier Group.
"As well as the Charity Cup, there are other local Charity football competitions within the Coventry Area who do great work, that will result in more than £30,000 being donated to local charities in 2015”.
