Coventry United Ladies started their FA WPL Southern Division campaign with a 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace.
At Bromley FC, Cov were a goal down in 19 minutes when Gemma Bryan curled home but levelled in the 37th minute when Steph Smith headed home a Gina Burton cross.
Maz Gauntlett has a 61st minute penalty saved by Yardley and it was to prove costly as in the 70th minute, Gemma Bryan beat Sue Wood to score her second and Palace's second goal of the game.
However, Cov did not give up and in the 79th minute, Steph Smith fired past Yardley with a screamer from 28 yards to equalise and give Cov a share of the points.
