Leamington FC has today announced a long-term partnership with Phillips 66 which will see the Warwick-based energy manufacturing company become the Club's 'Community Grass Roots and Stadium Partner'.
The Club's Harbury Lane stadium has been renamed 'The Phillips 66 Community Stadium' in time for the Brakes' first match of the 2015/16 season, which takes place at home on Saturday 8 August against Buckinghamshire's Chesham United. The slogan 'Phillips 66 - Fuelling the Brakes' will feature prominently throughout the stadium and in all match material.
Jim Scott, Chairman of Leamington FC, comments: "We're thrilled to welcome Phillips 66 on board as our 'Community Grass Roots and Stadium Partner'. We greatly value the financial support of sponsors and partners which enables us to develop and maintain our club's facilities for the benefit of the community and deliver all the training sessions, fixtures and events that take place here annually. Being able to announce our support from Phillips 66 and share the stadium's new name is a great way to kick off the season!"
Mary Wolf, Deputy Managing Director at Phillips 66 UK & Ireland Marketing, adds: "The renaming of the Harbury Lane stadium is just the first phase in what we believe will be our long-term involvement in the Brakes. Phillips 66 is a large company with 14,000 employees globally, but with 130 employees at our Warwick headquarters we're also very committed to supporting good causes, events, and initiatives at a local level.
"Our company vision is to 'provide energy and improve lives' and our support of the Brakes is very much in line with this. Over 400 players and volunteers from the ages of 5 to 75 benefit from being actively involved with the Club, which plays an important role in the local community and wider region. We're already in discussions with Jim and his team about a number of ways in which we'll continue our support of the club and look forward to announcing these over the coming months."
