Leamington FC have signed Simon Forsdick.
The former Nuneaton player has been training with the Brakes for a while and Paul Holleran told the Leamington FC website about Forsdick who has also played for Stratford Town: "We've had Simon around the place training with us for some time now.
"He's not quite 100% yet but he's nearly there, he's certainly ready to play a part. He is a very experienced player who can operate in a number of positions, and is someone who, from the day I came to Leamington, I've been trying to sign. He was instrumental in Nuneaton's success over the past few years before his unfortunate injury. I've worked with Simon before when I was manager at Halesowen Town. He's a super lad, and has developed into a very good non league player. He will be a very very good asset to us, there's no doubt about that.
"There were a number of players that we have looked at recently but Simon was always one that we wanted to sign. He has come through a number of training sessions with us now and is really getting back to where he needs to be. I'm probably signing him a couple of weeks ahead of schedule, but we need him around the place, we need his experience and if we manage to get him on the pitch I know he will do a job for us. Also he might just help some of our younger midfield players by being around, like Jordan Goddard, Jack Edwards and one or two others, so I'm certainly pleased with that piece of work. Along with Ross Atkins and Delroy Gordon he is right up there as another good experienced signing. He's a good pro and as the weeks go on he'll get fitter and stronger, and I am sure we will reap the benefits of that as the season goes on."
