Nuneaton Out Of FA Trophy

Nuneaton Town went out of the FA Trophy with a 2-0 home defeat to Grimsby Town.

Traffic on the M1 meant that the game at the James Parnall Stadium did not kick off until 4.15 but the former Football League side took a 25th minute lead through Pitman.

Nuneaton had a miserable afternoon with Gaz Dean sent off and keeper Christian Dibble hitting his head on a post and James Arnson having to go in goal.

In the 73rd minute, .Mackreth scored a second goal for the Mariners.

Leamington went down to a 2-1 defeat in a Conference North Fixture away to Brackley Town. Will Green put Brackley a goal up with less than a minute gone and Northampton Town loanee David Moyo added a second in the 67th minute. Lee Moore scored a consolation goal for the Brakes with eight minutes left.

Bedworth United kept up their bid for promotion with a 2-0 win at AFC Hayes. David Blenkinsopp back from his loan at Coventry Sphinx scored on the half hour mark with Westwood scoring a second in the 67th minute.

Rugby Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Hanwell. Craig Kelly scored for Rugby in the 19th minute but the visitors levelled through Healy in the 62nd minute.

Stratford Town were beaten 2-1 at Cinderford. Lloyd and Camm had scored for the home side before Sterling scored a consolation goal in the 90th minute.
