Nuneaton Town have signed Iwan Cartwright on a one year deal.
The 19-year-old central midfielder was released by Wrexham at the end of last season and joins the club after impressing Kevin Wilson who told his club's website: “I saw Iwan play in an exit trial game back in May and he was invited to come and train with us as a result. Obviously that went well and the deal was done quickly.
"Iwan is under no pressure here. He has potential and will be given time to develop. A run of senior football is exactly what his career needs and we will benefit from that.”
Cartwright said; “I was looking to stay in the full-time game and continue learning so Nuneaton is a perfect fit for me.
“I will be moving to the area so that I can focus purely on my football and make the most of this opportunity. I know a little bit about Nuneaton having chatted to Kevin Wilkin when I was at Wrexham. He spoke very highly of the club and I had no hesitation in joining.
