Representatives from Coventry City FC, Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Club, Coventry Rugby Club and Coventry Jets American Football Team are to attend the Coventry Christmas Light Switch On this Sunday (November 29th).
The day starts at 11am with reindeers in the Lower Precinct with Santa's Grotto open in West Orchard's from noon.
There will be live entertainment from Mercia FM from 3.30pm in Broadgate with soul singer Beverley Knight performing a thirty minute set at 3.45pm
The sports personalities from the Coventry sporting teams will be on stage at 4.15pm until 4.45pm when Wallace and Gromit take over.
At 5pm, the lights will be switched on by Martin Freeman, star of the film Nativity, some of which was shot in Coventry thanks to producer Debbie Issit.
Britain's Got Talent contestants Elliott Evans will round off the events when he goes on stage at 5.10pm.
