Whitnash Town kept up their push to win the Coventry Alliance Premier Division table with a 5-2 victory at Sphinx Sports & Social this afternoon.
Whtinash were ahead after 27 seconds before Sphinx were reduced to ten men seven minutes later.
In the 43rd minute, Whitnash scored a second but Sphinx, who were robbed of a penalty, went up the other end and pulled a goal back through former Coventry City youngster Tom Cudworth.
Less than two minutes into the second half and the ten men of Sphinx were level when a well worked move was finished off.
Both sides had chances before Whitnash went back in front in the 81st minute and then added goals in the 88th and 91st minute to maintain their bid for the title
