Coventry Storm Speedway Team went down to 28-32 defeat to Cradley Heath in an incident packed National League Knock Out Cup Semi-Final second leg at Brandon that was abandoned after ten heats.
The Storm took on Cradley after the Bees victory and after the meeting had started with a 3-3 draw, they took a 5-0 win in the second heat after Layne Cupitt was excluded and then Danny Phillips fell and was also excluded.
Cradley took a 5-1 in the third and another in the fifth after a 3-3. In heat six, Oliver Greenwood and Perry went down. Greenwood was excluded and ended up with a brace on his leg and on his way to Hospital.
That gave Cradley a 4-2 win despite the efforts of Ryan Terry Daley and it was another 4-2 to Cradley in heat seven to see the Storm trailing by ten points.
Two more 3-3's but in heat ten, Nathan Greaves was excluded for fighting with James Sarjeant in a row which saw a mechanic down on the ground and Greaves squaring up to supporters whilst Danny Phillips knocked a rider off his bike as he was returning to the pits from the Storm taking a 4-2 to reduce their losses to 32-27.
The meeting was abandoned due to the curfew and the result stands with Cradley winning 95-55 on aggregate.
