Englishman Ben Swift has been forced to withdraw from The Giro D'Italia which starts in Herning in Denmark on Saturday.
The Team Sky sprinter (pictured above), broke his shoulder in a crash on a training exercise on Thursday and has been replaced by Jeremy Hunt who will work alongside Geraint Thomas for Mark Cavendish who is tipped to win a number of sprint stages yet again.
Scot David Millar was also a late call up and will ride for the Garmin-Barrcuda team
This year's race starts in Herning with an 8.7km time trial and is followed by twenty more stages before the finish in Milan on May 27th.
After stages in Herning on Sunday and Horsens and Monday, the riders and everyone associated with the race will transfer back to Verona on Tuesday before the racing on Italian soil starts on Wednesday.
