Astana have been told that they can keep their 2015 World Tour Licence.
There had been concerns that the UCI were going to strip the team of its pro licence but at a meeting today, representatives of Astana Pro Team, representatives of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and representatives of the Institute of Sport Sciences of the University of Lausanne (ISSUL) came to the decision that Astana were to accept special measures imposed on them at specific times over the rest of this season.
They also decided that Astana's registration for the 2015 season remains in force but is subject to strict monitoring, by ISSUL, who will report back to the Licence Commission.
The commission will also have the right to re-open the case which has seen several doping cases in the team, if required to do so.
