Coventry Bees were beaten 51-41 at Wolves tonight in an Elite League meeting.
The Bees were able to field a strong side for this meeting at Monmore Green and lost the opening two heats 4-2 before Chris Harris won in a 4-2 in the third.
That had put the Bees two points behind but a 5-1 to Wolves after Wornya and Sarjeant had been on a 5-10 in the fourth soon changed that.
Jason Garrity won heat five in a 4-2 but after Chris Harris won in a 3-3, Wolves took the next two heats 5-1 and 4-2.
Another 3-3 saw Jason Garrity take the tactical ride in heat ten and finished second behind Krzysztof Kasprzak in a 7-1 win which meant that the Bees were only four points behind.
Chris Harris then won in heat eleven in a 4-2 to take the difference to two points but after a 3-3, Wolves took a 4-2 and 5-1 to give themselves the meeting and a lead of six points going into the final heat.
Chris Harris and Jason Garrity went in the final heat for the Bees but Wolves off gates one and three took a 4-2 to send Coventry Bees to a ten point defeat.
