Coventry Bees were beaten by a point by Kings Lynn Stars tonight in an Elite League fixture at Brandon.
In a re-run heat one, Krystof Kasprzak and Ben Barker who was guesting went for the Bees who went down to a 4-2 loss.
James Sarjent and Kacper Woyrna rode in heat two but the visitors took a 5-1 which was followed by Danny King and Chris Harris suffering a 4-2 loss.
Heat four saw Bates and Sarjeant ride. Sarjeant's bike packed up as Kings Lynn took a 5-1 to lead 18-6.
Woryna and Barker rode in the fifth heat but allowed Busk-Jakobsen and Howarth to take a 5-1.
Danny King and Bates went in heat six. Josh Bates briefly led but Iversen got in front of him and it was a 3-3.
Chris Harris took the tactical ride in heat seven and rode with Kazprzak with the Bees now sixteen points adrift. Harris got past Schlein and then Kazprzak did to give the Bees an 8-1 win and their first heat win of the night.
James Sarjeant and Josh Bates rode for the Bees in heat eight. Sarjeant went down with the Bees on a 5-1 and was excluded from the re-run which saw Kings Lynn take a 5-1.
Heat nine saw Barker and Wornya ride. Barker got into the lead on the second lap to win in a 3-3.
Chris Harris and Danny King rode in heat ten and it was King who hit the front followed by Harris and the Bees had a 5-1 to go nine points behind.
Kazprzak and Barker won in a 5-1 in heat eleven and in heat twelve. Rose fell on the first lap and on the last lap Wornya got into the lead to win in a 4-2 and go within three points of Kings Lynn.
Kazprzak and Harris went in heat thirteen and Kazprzak won in a 4-2 to further reduce the deficit.
Bates and King rode in heat fourteen with Bates splitting Batchelor and Schlein but went down to a 4-2 leaving the Bees needing a 5-1 in the final heat.
However in the final heat, Kazprzak and iversen both crashed. The heat was re-run with Iversen excluded and although Kazprzak won, the heat finished in a 4-2 and the Bees were beaten 46-47 and drop to seventh in the Elite League table.
