Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team have extended the contract of Jordan Pietrus until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old Canadian forward played five games in all Elite League competitions during his one-month trial and scored his first goals for the club in the Continental Cup.
Blaze Coach Chuch Weber said to the Blaze website: "Jordan really came into his own in the Continental Cup and scored a couple of goals.
"He plays the game the right way, he competes hard, he goes to the hard areas, he finishes his bumps and we like his versatility.
"Jordan does the little things right, he has a love for the game and he has the ability to make an impact with his grit by finishing his bumps, taking a hit or blocking a shot.
"What I like about him is even when he is not on the scoresheet he finds other ways to contribute to our success. He will make a personal sacrifice to help the team.
"He is not a player who will do a toe drag, beat a couple of guys and do a spinarama - he will just get the puck deep. He plays the right way, he is a nuts and bolts player and you can never have too many of those."
