Team BMC won the Team Time Trial for the Giro Del Trentino in Italy.
This year's race started with a 14.3km team time trial from Riva Del Garda to Arco and saw seventeen teams entered (there was no Team Sky) with plenty of big names who will be competing the Giro D'Italia in a fortnight on the road.
Colombia Colaportes were the first down the ramp on a sunny but windy day, followed by United Health Care who were without Ireland's Phillip Deignan
Lampre had two riders including Matthew Lloyd crash whilst they were on the road and only had the minimum five riders finish but they were home in a time of 16.13, some 25 seconds ahead of United HealthCare.
BMC with Taylor Phinney were the pre-race favourites and did not disappoint by coming home in a time of 15.50.54.
Astana followed put in a time of 16.00 to finish second whilst AG2R, who had Nicholas Roche in their team, put in a disappointing 16.42.
Colnago took third after finishing four seconds ahead of Androni Giocattoli.
Stage two tomorrow is 152kms long and from Mori to Sant'Orsola Terme.
