Theo Boss and Richie Porte were the winners on the opening day of the 82nd Criterium International.
Many of the teams, who will enter the Tour De France, were in Corsica to test some of the roads that will be used in the three stages held on the island at the end of June.
The opening stage was an 89km stage starting and finishing in Porto Vecchio, which will stage the Grand Depart and saw Yukiya Arashiro (Europcar), with Jeremy Roy (FDJ), Romain Hardy (Cofidis), Gerard (Bretagne-Seche Environnemen) and Antoine Lavieu (Le Pomme Marseille) escape with ten kilometres gone and they were 3.10 ahead, some 21kms later.
They stayed away until a Team Sky and FDJ led peloton caught them with three kilometres to go.
A bunch sprint developed and Blanco's Theo Bos rode to victory in a time of 2.02.43 ahead of Nacer Bouhanni, Jonathan Cantwell, Clément Koretzky, and Simon Geschke.
Stage Two was a seven kilometre time trial in Port Vecchio and saw Team Sky's Chris Froome set the fastest time of 9.12.
That lasted for twenty minutes until Tejay van Garderen beat Froome's time by a second.
Then Richie Porte finished in a time of 9.10 and although Team Saxo Tinkoff's Manuele Boaro came in a second behind, Team Sky's Australian took the win.
