Belkin's Theo Boss won his fourth stage of the Tour Of Langkawi with victory in Kuala Terengganu in Malaysia.
One hundred and twelve riders started the penultimate stage which was Bandar Permaisuri to Kuala Terengganu.and was a shorter 111.1kms long.
Colombians Jeffry Romero of Team Colombia and Carlos Alzate of UnitedHealthCare were the first to launch a break, taking a twelve second lead after seven kilometres.
Their time at the front was soon over and Carlos Quintero (Colombia) and Jonathan Monsalve (Yellow Fluo). took over.
Quintero took the first sprint after 21kms but four kilometres later, had to settle for second place when Monsalve topped the first climb of the day.
Monsalve took the second and final climb of the day after 39.1kms and as this was the last climb of the race, it failed to have any affect on Irishman Matt Brammeier taking the King Of The Mountains competition.
Quintero had riden himself into being the virtual leader on the road but on a day of temperatures around 32 degrees, his lead of 1.46 was soon eradicated.
He did however, take the second sprint with Michael Kolar taking two points to put him level with Aidis Kruopis in the points competition.
Matt Brammeier launched an attack with twenty kilometres to go and brought the gap down to the two up front to under a minute.
Quintero took the third sprint after 95.5kms ahead of Monsalve but with eleven kilometres remaining, the peloton made the bridge to them and their day was over.
This set up a bunch sprint. There was a crash in the middle of the peloton but Theo Bos of Belkin avoided it and took the win ahead of Andrea Guardini and Aidis Kruopis, followed by Chicchi, Forster, Kolar, Duque, Bertazzo, Klemme and Reguigui.
Mirsamad Pourseyedigolakhour takes his leader's jersey into the final stage.
