British Champion Peter Kennaugh has finally taken control of the Isle Of Man Time Trial record.
Chris Boardman set the record in 1993 on the Snaefell Mountain Course and after failing in 2012 to become the first Manx Man this century to beat his record, Kennaugh attempted it over the weekend and clocked a time of 1hr 23m 48s to break the record by six seconds.
The Team Sky rider also picked up £3,000 from local firm Shoprite, who had been offering the prize to beat the record for a number of years.
