Mark Cavendish has said that he wants to stay with Elixx Quick Step.
The British rider is out of contract at the end of the 2015 season but the winner of the final stage of the Tour De San Luis has said that he wants to stay with the Belgian based team who have changed their title sponsor for the new season.
Cavendish told Het Nieuwsblad newspaper. “I want to stay with Etixx Quick Step. I love it."
The rider who had one year with Team Sky, after being at HTC Highroad, and left to join Omega Pharma Quick Step in 2013, added: “It’s like in HTC [Highroad]: one big family. “Nobody likes to leave his family behind, but being with this team away from home is a pleasure.
“My contract’s going to expire this year, but I’m not worried about it.
“When it’s time, I’ll sit down at the table with [General Manager Patrick] Lefevere and we’ll talk.”
