Mark Cavendish has lost his Isle Of Man ten mile time trial record.
Peter Kennaugh of Team Sky who had been due to ride the Giro D'Italia but withdraw due to illness and was replaced by Chris Sutton, recorded a time of 19 minutes and 38.982 seconds during the Conister 10 League round 5, Ballamoar to beat the time of twenty minutes and eight seconds set by Cavendish in 2007.
Kennaugh was using the event to prepare for the Bayern Rundfahrt which takes place from May 28th to June 1st.
