MTN Qhubeka's Gerard Ciolek took the third stage of the Bayernrundfahrt in Kelheim this afternoon.
The stage from Viechtach to Kelheim saw the escapers swept up before the final lap of a circuit around Kelheim and this result in a bunch sprint which Ciolek, the German riding for an African team, won in a time of 5.10.15, just pipping FDJ's Arnaud Demare, Heinrich Haussler, Team Sky's Ben Swift and Lampre's Davide Cimolai.
