Coventry Bees take on Belle Vue tonight at Brandon.
Coventry promoter Mick Horton said: “This is going to be a really tough meeting after Belle Vue took Poole apart in their own backyard on Monday, so their confidence will be high.
“But we’ve proved in our last few home meetings, against Wolverhampton and against Lakeside, both amongst the fancied teams, that we can beat anyone, so if the boys are on top of their game there’s no reason why we can’t give Belle Vue a good run for their money.
“With KK missing we have booked what we feel is the very best available guest, looking at the clubs who are not riding. We looked at who we class as an out-and-out No.1, and Freddie this year definitely fits into that category. We believe he can do the job for us.
“We need a good weekend against Belle Vue, and that could give us a real idea of how far we can go this season.”
