Coventry Cycling Festival

25 June 2011 to 26 June 2011

This June, the Coventry Cycling Festival returns, even bigger and better than ever!

Over the two days of the festival, Millennium Place in front of Coventry Transport Museum, will come alive with a whole host of FREE activities for all ages - and whether you prefer to join in or simply to watch, you'll find lots to enjoy throughout the whole weekend. And it doesn't matter whether or not you own a bike, as cycles of all shapes and sizes will be provided for you to try.

* Be amazed by BMX, skateboard and mountain bike trick rider displays
* Compete to be the Festival's slowest bike rider
* Loads of bikes for you to try out - including scoot bikes for your littlest children
* Enjoy a luxurious rickshaw ride around the City Centre
* Discover how Coventry became the centre of the cycling world and how pedal power can be harnessed in weird and wonderful ways
* Learn to juggle or unicycle with Coventry Community Circus (Sunday only)
* Shop till you drop at the eco friendly food and craft fair
* Bring your bike for a health check with Dr Bike (Sunday only)
* Plus much, much more, including face painting, quizzes and activity trails

All activities run from 10am to 4.30pm on both days, unless specified above.

Most activities are free of charge and suitable for the whole family - we look forward to seeing you there!

For Those Who Have Their Own Bikes
We have also planned two cycle rides as part of the Festival:

For experienced cyclists
The Second Annual Tom Sabin Memorial Ride
Coventry to Much Wenlock

We are looking for up to 100 cyclists to join us in celebrating the career of Tom Sabin, the Coventry-born cyclist who won the first Olympic cycle races in 1876.
